UPI QR Generator
Create a payment QR code with fixed amount
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a UPI QR Code?
It's a specialized QR that uses the Indian UPI protocol. When scanned with apps like GPay, Paytm, or PhonePe, it automatically pre-fills the payment amount and recipient.
Is it safe to use for my business payments?
Yes. We just format the standard UPI string (upi://pay...). The actual payment is handled securely between the bank apps on the scanner's phone.
Do I need to enter my VPA/UPI ID?
Yes. You must provide your UPI ID (e.g., name@okicici) as the recipient. Without a valid ID, the payment will not reach you.
Can I set a fixed 'Amount' in the QR?
Yes. If you are selling a product for ₹500, you can lock that amount so the customer doesn't have to type it manually.
What is the 'Transaction Note'?
It's a short memo (e.g., 'Order #123') that appears in the customer's payment history to help you identify what the payment was for.
Does this QR work with all Indian bank apps?
Yes. It follows the NPCI standards, so it works with BHIM, SBI Yono, HDFC, ICICI, and all third-party apps like PhonePe.
Is there any commission or fee for using this?
No. This tool is free, and UPI itself is a zero-fee payment system for users and many small merchants in India.
Can I use this for my personal shop?
Absolutely. It's the perfect way for small vendors or freelancers to accept payments without needing an expensive machine.
Does the QR code show my bank account number?
No. It only contains your UPI ID (VPA). Your bank account number and other details stay hidden and secure behind the UPI layer.
Why did the payment fail?
Common reasons include an invalid UPI ID, bank server downtime, or the scanner reaching their daily UPI transaction limit.
